The State of our Society

Did Republicans loose the election because of the power of money?
Did Selfishness, and the "What's in it for me" attitude come into play?

I took my two girls, ( 5yrs and 3yrs) to a local mall here in Colorado yesterday. I guess it has always been like this, but I just can not believe how inconsiderate people are. I know I am not supposed to judge, but actions and reactions on how a person conducts himself will give you a picture of how that person may be. I say may because I will give the benefit of doubt. If you are not concerned about who may see or hear what you say and do, then I rest  my case.

You can see it in the way people drive, speak, act etc...what people portray of themselves. What infuences their lives, are what usually influences what they dicatate to the rest of society.

In the mall, across about 20 yards away, there was a girl, late teens early 20's, in an electric wheelchair, as she was rolling allong, she stoped to admire different things like the people and things on the upstairs balcony and her multicolored rubber squishy bracelets. All the while, she had a smile on here face and she expressed a real geniune joy in these things. You could see it IN HER actions and reactions to these things.

The dozens of people that were walking past her, coming into basically direct contact with her, would avoid her, pretend she was not there, all the while, much less not even smiling, from what I could see. A smile goes a long way. As a whole are people just naturally iconsiderate, insensative and just concerned for their only well being. I understand times are tough all over and it seems like the Holiday season accenuates the issue even more in my opinion. "Get out of my way... I am in a hurry, I need to get this done, I dont have time for the likes of you, I am more important than you, I have to buy this."

This is what happens when peer pressures of the world get to us. To be a follower, and jump off this cliff like we do, do as we do, watch a little more TV and speak what we speak and buy what we buy . We need a few more more leaders in this world, that will ruffle a few feathers and stand up for what is right. But fear sets in because you will be ridiculed for that, and you wan't to be "labeled".

I have seen a bumpersticker that would sum up the state of our current society " He who dies with the most toys, wins". Do you plan your life around material things, or do find joy in the simplest of things? Like the girl in the wheelchair.

Reuters article: Iran's Ahmaddinejab to Obama

THIS JUST IN:

"AHMADINEJAD CALLS FOR USA TO BE NAIVE"

Knowing that those on the left are naive, Ahmadinejab calles for us to naive and be "friends".
He promised when the two first meet, he would not stab Obama in the back  with a knife, and swears to Allah that no acts , support, or financing of terror will happen as long as he is alive.

Real Article below.......

Iran's hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad congratulated U.S. President-elect Barack Obama on Thursday and called for "fundamental and fair" changes to U.S. policies in the region, Iran's official IRNA news agency said.

"I congratulate you for attracting a majority of votes ... I hope you will prefer real public interests and justice to the endless demands of a selfish minority," Ahmadinejad told Obama in a statement published by IRNA.

Iranian officials have said Obama's election victory on Tuesday showed the American people's desire for fundamental change in domestic and foreign policy from the policies of President George W. Bush, who labeled Iran part of an "axis of evil."

"The great Iranian nation welcomes real, fundamental and fair changes in America's behavior and policies, particularly in the Middle East region," Ahmadinejad said.

Tehran and Washington cut diplomatic ties sholtry after Iran's Islamic revolution, which toppled the U.S.-backed Shah.

The two countries have since been at odds over various issues, including Iran's nuclear program, which Washington and its European allies say is a cover to build nuclear bombs. Iran insists its aim is to generate electricity.

Washington has accused Iran of funding, equipping and training militants in Iraq. Iran denies this and says insecurity is due to the presence of U.S. troops who should quit Iraq.

Ahmadinejad said he hoped Obama would put an end to the United States' "war-oriented" policies.

"Other nations expect war-oriented policies, occupation, bullying ... and imposing discriminatory policies on them to be replaced by those advocating respect ... and non-interference in other countries' state matters," he said.

Obama has said he would toughen sanctions on Iran but has also held out the possibility of direct talks to resolve rows, including Tehran's nuclear dispute with the West.

The president-elect, like Bush, has not ruled out military action although he has criticized the outgoing administration for not pushing for more diplomacy and engagement with Iran.

Tehran has warned its response to any military action would be tough and would include targeting U.S. interests and America's ally Israel.

Iran's Prosecutor-General Ayatollah Qorban-Ali Dori- Najafabadi called on Obama on Thursday to show goodwill and remove sanctions against the Islamic Republic, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported.

"Through the lifting of the past government's cruel sanctions against Iran, Barack Obama can demonstrate his goodwill to the Iranian people," he said.

"Calling for forgiveness and remorse for the past U.S. government's deeds by the new government can bring about the great Iranian nation's forgiveness."

Iran's refusal to suspend its sensitive nuclear work has led to three rounds of U.N. sanctions since 2006, as well as bilateral punitive measures by Washington.

Iran has rejected world powers' demand to halt uranium enrichment, a process that can have civilian and military uses, in exchange for trade and other benefits.

World Net Daily report Islamic Finance

By Chelsea Schilling
© 2008 WorldNetDaily

The Treasury Department has announced it will teach "Islamic finance" to U.S.banking regulatory agencies, Congress and other parts of the executive branch today in Washington, D.C.  but critics say it is opening a door to American funding of Islamic extremism.
'Islamic Finance 101'
According to its announcement, the "Islamic Finance 101" forum is "designed to help inform the policy community about Islamic financial services, which are an increasingly important part of the global financial industry."
The Treasury Department has collaborated with Harvard University's Islamic Finance Project to coordinate the event. The department says it expects about 100 people will attend the seminar.
Some speakers include Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Neel Kashkari, senior adviser to Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, Jr.; Harvard Business School professor Samuel Hayes; Mahmoud El-Gamal, chair of Islamic economics, finance and management at Rice University and Islamic finance adviser to the Treasury Department; Sarah Bell of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York; Yusuf Talal DeLorenzo, Shariah adviser and Islamic scholar; Michael McMillan, chair of the Islamic Legal Forum at the American Bar Association and professor of Islamic finance; and Rushdi Siddiqui, global director for the Dow Jones Islamic Market Indexes and vigorous advocate for Islamic finance.
Islamic finance is a system of banking consistent with the principles of Shariah, or Islamic law. It is becoming increasingly popular, having reached $800 billion by mid-2007 and growing at more than 15 percent each year. Wall Street now features an Islamic mutual fund and an Islamic index. However, critics claim anti-American terrorists are often financially supported through U.S. investments

creating a system by which the nation funds its own enemy.
Aiding the enemy
In his essay, "Financial Jihad: What Americans Need to Know," Vice President Christopher Holton of the Center for Security Policy writes, "America is losing the financial war on terror because Wall Street is embracing a subversive enemy ideology on one hand and providing corporate life support to state sponsors of terrorism on the other hand."
Holton refers to Islamic finance, or "Shariah-Compliant Finance" as a "modern-day Trojan horse" infiltrating the U.S. He said it poses a threat to the U.S. because it seeks to legitimize Shariah   a man-made medieval doctrine that regulates every aspect of life for Muslims   and could ultimately change American life and laws.
Shariah-compliant finance is becoming a major movement, because American banks and investors are seeking wealth from oil profits in the Middle East. Some advocates claim Islamic finance is socially responsible because it bans investors from funding companies that sell or promote products such as alcohol, tobacco, pornography, gambling and even pork.

Don't be surprised to find out that Sharia Law is made part of our US Constitution this time next year!  Britain and Canada are already struggling with this pressure

What is the difference between Islam and Christianity Any??

Don't they both kill in the name of their God? They are the same are'nt they?
Dont believe that statement, and do not reject Christianity because you believe it is violent,or goofy, weird ETC.
Stop watching TV and read more books.

1. Our God in the Bible, is a God of love and gives us our own free will, to have a realationship with him. Thats all he wants, a free gift given to you to accept. Since this is a gift, and it is free, you have nothing to lose if it was lie(which it is not), and if it is true(which it is) you have Everthing to gain!!

Allah, enforces his beliefs upon his people and resorts to violence if you do not accept his views. The word love, in the Quran is rather limited.

Man's love for things is referenced 15 times, and carries and carries a negative meaning. It concerns those who love the world and used of innopropriate or wrong things.

Human Love is referenced 15 times, referring to those outside the ranks of believers as they show love to them, but this love it is not reciprocated.

Man's love for God is referenced 7 times, with translations of love as a motivational factor. Also used as a noun. And used as "lovers of truth" The term "God is Love" is not found among the 99 names of God given in Islam. They can only do his will, they can not really know him. They follow the term "God is Great", a statement of expression.

The Negative (ex.)"God does not Love the_____  or God loves not____(fill in the blank) referenced 22 times.
They don't go out and spell out that hates it, but it enforces the idea that the love of God is withheld from those who practice certain things or have a certain character.

God's love for Man is referenced 20 times, because of their deeds. One would think that positive statements of God's love would bring us to a revelation of the personal and infinite love of God to mankind. Look closer, they are statements of CONDITIONAL love based on human activity. Imlpies giving of one's money or goods, or efforts for Allah's cause.

In the Bible, love is referenced over 400 times, 223 in the New Testament alone. If you draw the conclusion that Islamic roots before the Quran, actually worshipped a false moon God named Allah also refered to as Sin. Islam is a modern day spin off of this. We worhip the God of eternal life, they worship a God that rewards death.

2.Here is the strongest point of difference between Christianity and Islam. The Quran is a revelation of God's will that is to be obeyed by His creation. The Bible is a revelation of the Person and character of God. This is where we find what God is like and what that means in our relationship with him. The belief in the Trinity, God, Son of God and Holy Spirit, (he is worshipped in 3 persons) is not mentioned in the Quran. Take the properties of Water, Liquid (water), Solid (Ice) and Gas (Steam), they are all just that, compositions of water. Picture the Trinity in that light, (properties of God). It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that the Quran did not evolve from the Bible.

The Question of "What about the Crusades"? Christians are no better, because they killed for their God.
You can let the finger pointing fly all you want, but here are the facts....

If you took World History,( I dont mean in this day and age....I mean from 25-30 years ago...don't get me started on the school system we have). The Crusades were a series of military campaigns in the Medieval middle ages.In 1076, the Muslims had captured Jerusalem - the most holy of holy places for Christians. Jesus had been born in nearby Bethlehem and Jesus had spent most of his life in Jerusalem. He was crucified on Calvary Hill, also in Jerusalem. There was no more important place on Earth than Jerusalem for a true Christian which is why Christians called Jerusalem the "City of God".

However, Jerusalem was also extremely important for the Muslims as Muhammad, the founder of the Muslim faith, had been there and there was great joy in the Muslim world when Jerusalem was captured. A beautiful dome - called the Dome of the Rock - was built on the rock where Muhammad was said to have sat and prayed and it was so holy that no Muslim was allowed to tread on the rock or touch it when visiting the Dome.

Therefore the Christian fought to get Jerusalem back while the Muslims fought to keep Jerusalem. These wars were to last nearly 200 years. The fight goes on to this day.
It depends on what side of the fence you sit on, because again there is a battle of Good -vs- Evil here, and you have be able to discern what good and evil is. The Crusades originally had the goal of recapturing Jerusalem and the Holy Land from Muslim rule and were launched in response to a call from the Eastern Orthodox Byzantine Empire for help against the expansion of the Muslim Seljuk Turks into Anatolia.

Though the Muslims in power at the time tried to protect the Jews in The Holy Land, the Crusaders' atrocities against them in the German and Hungarian towns, later also in those of France, England, and in the massacres of Jews in Palestine and Syria have become a significant part of the history of anti-Semitism, although no Crusade was ever declared against Jews.
The taking of Jerusalem, followed with persecution = A fight. A fight to take back what was realistically owned by them in the first place.
There was killing, and for granted there were some unhloy alliances formed in those times. If killing of Innocents took place, In the name of God It was NOT an act of Christianity.

Any sensible, sane person must ask, how can a group claim to be religious and then commit horrifying crimes while supposedly acting “in the name of God”?

Yet, we should not be surprised. Killing one another “in the name of God” is nothing new to the marred and scarred history of mankind. The religious Crusades and Inquisition of the Middle Ages, as well as the World War II Nazi bloodfest of the Jewish Holocaust, now silently attest to the intolerance and brutality engendered by religious hatred and hatred of religion.

One would suppose that being “very religious” instead of atheistic would decrease the slaughter rate. However, just the opposite is true. Man’s inhumanity to man has been increased by human religion! History bears out that many times religion has been the cause of war and mass death, not the solution that it should be!

Part of the reason for this contradiction is that mankind has never been able to differentiate between “true believers” and the mentally-ill “messiahs” who have tainted religious history since the beginning. Mankind has followed leaders who were not following the true God! If it were otherwise, millions upon millions of people would not have been annihilated in the name of God.

There are extremists in any religion, such as Islamo Facicists that fly planes in to buildings. When was the last time you heard a Christian blow things up or fly into mountains killing the innocent? the fact is Men kill, whether it is in the name of ,or if they believe in God or not.
God is in charge of History, don't try to change that, past , present and future......it is His Story to write.

Is Allah the Arabian Moon God??

Maybe the reason the Muslims hate Israel so much, is beacause they told Muhammad to go jump in a lake, instead of follow him. Ah yes, Muhammad "Gods Final Prophet". Muhammad posed as an apostle of God.  Yet his life is filled with lustfulness (12 marriages and sex with a child, slaves and concubines), rapes, warfare, conquests, and unmerciful butcheries.  The infinitely good, just and all holy God simply cannot tolerate anything in the least unjust or sinful.  What Muhammad produced in the Qur'an is simply a book of gibberish consisting of later evil verses abrogating (superseding) earlier peaceful verses. These verses in Arabic poetically "tickle" the ears of Arab listeners. Muhammed led 27 military campaigns against innocent villages ans caravans & planned 38 others. is religion to satiate his lust for power, sex, and money. He was a terrorist.

The god of Muslims is revealed as a tyrant who demands Muslims and all others submit to him.  Whereas in the New Testament, Jesus revealed to Christians a God who is a loving Father, who wants us to come to Him via free will.  In the Old Testament (Exodus 34:6) the real God revealed Himself as "merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth".  He is the Creator of the Universe, the God of Love, and Lord of Life.  The God of Israel is this true God.  He insists "Thou shall not kill the innocent and just".  Have you ever wondered why even the word "love" is conspicuously missing from the Qur'an?

Allah a loving God? Note how he threatens to cut off the heads and the finger tips of all those people who don't believe in him?
"I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their fingertips off them." Qur'an 8:12

 A commentor comments:
The God Allah originates as a Moongod in Shinar- the Old Babylonian era and was brought to the Arabian Peninsula by the Last King of Babylonia, Nabodinus. The Deity Allah, the Moon God, and his 3 daughters were worshipped in Arabia till Muhammed was confronted with the facts of life: Jews and Christians rejected him as the last prophet. As a result history witnessed Muhammed's revenge in the re-writing of the Judaic and Christian books and with Allah elevated to the Only True God, as such introducing to the Arabs the concept of Monotheism 1400 years ago.
Allah is NOT of the same origin as the Judaic God Elohim/Egyptian/Canaanite or the Christian concept of God/Judaic/Roman/Krishna. History shows 3 eras for the God Allah: Pre-Mohammedan era: Allah was worshipped as a Moon God together with his 3 daughters in the biggest Shrine of Meccah. Mohammedan era: With the rejection of Muhammed as the last prophet Allah is elevated into the God of Monotheism which marks the birth of Islam . Present Time Islam: Allah as the God of Islam enters a new era with the ideology that Islam absorbs all religions to achieve one world religion dominated through Slave for Allah. So I did a little research here below:

Nabonidus ruled Babylon for 17 years until its fall in 539 BC. Although he was a neo-revisionist he still adhered to the time-honoured sacred rites of venerating celestial bodies as gods. Archaeologists have discovered a stone-carved relief depicting Nabonidus praying to the sun, Venus, and the moon-god, Allah.
The moon-god is depicted in artefacts as a crescent moon and later cultures included the addition of a star inside the crescent. Everywhere in the ancient world, archaeologists discover symbols of the crescent moon on steles, clay tablets, pottery items, amulets, seal impressions and cylinder seals themselves, official measuring weights, wall paintings, and jewelry. In ancient Babylon, the stele of Ur-Nammu has the moon-god crescent at the top of the list of gods as it was the most important.

Ur (ancient Babylon) has several examples of moon-god worship. More portable objects have been removed from their sites and are held by the British Museum in the Babylonian Room. Many small statues have been excavated and identified by inscriptions found on them as ‘daughters’ of the moon-god. Archaeologists working in modern Iraq have discovered and recorded thousands of inscriptions on walls and rocks indicating that Allah, the moon-god was regarded as the ruler of the gods at the time of Nabonidus’ reign. Archaeological evidence is overwhelming that the Allah of Islam is directly descended from the ancient moon-god deity represented in rock and picture by a crescent moon. Archaeologyexpert.co.uk

Islam, teaches that Jews and Christians both have earned the wrath of Allah by failing to follow Islam, and that they have also lost the way by following the teachings of the Torah for the Jews, or the Bible for Christians.  Additionally, This god Allah (with a little g) lies about Jesus. Islam says that Jesus not only is not the Son of God, but that He did not even die on a cross in Jerusalem... Allah is therefore proven to be a false pagan god...

Jihad

The term is defined as "Inner Stuggle", a noun. To struggle in the way of God, or to struggle to improve one's self and/or society. The term "Jihad" used without any qualifiers is generally understood in the West to be referring to a holy war on behalf of Islam, the term has accrued both violent and non-violent meanings.  can simply mean striving to live a moral and virtuous life, spreading and defending Islam as well as fighting injustice and oppression, among other things. The relative importance of these two forms of jihad is a matter of controversy.

The beginnings of Jihad are traced back to the words and actions of Muhammad and the Qu’ran. This word of Allah explicitly encourages the use of Jihad against the unbelievers. Sura 25, verse 52 states: “Therefore, do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with this, a great striving.” It was, therefore, the duty of all Muslims to strive against those who did not believe in Allah and took offensive action against Muslims. It was used in the times of the Crusades, Saladin had to create a doctrine which would unite his forces and make them fight until the bitter end, which would be the only way they could re-conquer the lands taken in the First Crusade. He did this through the creation of Jihad propaganda. It stated that any one who would abandon the Jihad would be committing a sin that could not be washed away by any means. It also put his amirs at the center of power, just under his rule. It is still in use in this day.

It is stated in Qur'an:

Prophet! Rouse the believers to wage war. If there are twenty amongst you, patient and persevering, they will subdue two hundred: if a hundred, they will subdue a thousand of the disbelievers: for these are a people without understanding.

From] now, God has lightened your [task] for He knows that there is now weakness amongst you: But [ever so], if there are a hundred of you, patient and persevering, they will subdue two hundred, and if a thousand, they will subdue two thousand, with the leave of God: for God is with those who patiently persevere.

Muster against them all the men and cavalry at your disposal so that you can strike terror into the enemies of Allah and of the believers and others beside them who may be unknown to you, though Allah knows them. And remember whatever you spend for the cause of Allah shall be repaid to you. You shall not be wronged.

O you who believe! when you meet those who disbelieve marching for war, then turn not your backs to them. And whoever shall turn his back to them on that day-- unless he turn aside for the sake of fighting or withdraws to a company-- then he, indeed, becomes deserving of Allah's wrath, and his abode is hell; and an evil destination shall it be.

A belief..... not a verse "  And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah altogether and everywhere; but if they cease, verily Allah doth see all that they do.
And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah. But if they cease, then lo! Allah is Seer of what they do.
And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah; but if they desist, then surely Allah sees what they do. Establish supremacy of God, through Islam, in the world.

Indeed those who are opposing Allah and His Messenger are bound to be humiliated. The Almighty has ordained: ‘‘I and My Messengers shall always prevail’’. Indeed Allah is Mighty and Powerful.

Fight those who believe not in Allah or the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the Religion of Truth, from among the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission and are subdued.

So, if we in the western world are viewed as the enemy, what is our fate? I realize that it is mostly muslim Islamo Terrorists view us in that regard, but that is where their whole belief is fruadjulent because the peaceful individuals do not stand up for is "right" (or is it, in their eyes) and condemn those that do this in the name of Allah. If it is fear, what do the muslims in our country Fear? I do not hear any protests or signs, or messages on TV or Radio or advertisements from that Group. Who has more power the Jihadists or peace lovers? Or is that not to be spoken of, in their religon?Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, leader of the Iranian Revolution and founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, preached that Western imperialists or neoimperialists sought to make Muslims suffer, to "plunder" their resources and other wealth, and had to undermine Islam first because Islam stood in the way of this stealing and immiseration.

With the three idiologies that exist in the world today, Islam, is being spread peacefully, and non-peacefully. Western European Secular/Socialism, is being spread peacefully. Democratic/Capitalistic views that we hold,or did since 1776, are not being spread at all. In fact it is vanishing away as we speak. Only Israel and Great Brtiain (which is failing fast),hold the traditional value system we do. I already know where we stand(or should stand), eventually someone other than us will have to stand up to them, someone Socialist/Secular or even Communist. What will happen at that point? Will they fight for their belief? How do you sit down and negotiate with that, or do you just convert yourself to the Islamic way of life?

"Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.---" Pope Benedict XVI ,Sept 12 2006.The Pontiff was comparing the Islamic teaching that "There is no compulsion in religion" with what Pope Benedict described as the newer teaching that allowed "spreading the faith through violence"
God", he says, "is not pleased by blood — and not acting reasonably is contrary to God's nature. Faith is born of the soul, not the body. Whoever would lead someone to faith needs the ability to speak well and to reason properly, without violence and threats… To convince a reasonable soul, one does not need a strong arm, or weapons of any kind, or any other means of threatening a person with death…
The Pope took flak over this from many Islamic Politicians and religious leaders. But he is correct and should not have to ask for forgiveness for his words. I tell you...we are Hated by them, for our Freedom, our beliefs, our way of life, our very  sense of being. They will either kill us or convert us to their ways(even at that we would not be pure to them, in my book). We are naive to believe that they would ever be our friends or negotiated with.Or are we naive to the fact that there is indeed evil in the world? Why do we as a people do not see this or deny it? Time will tell with this, watch this closely.

We in the Western World are the Enemy

Is todays Terrorist, tomorrows Friend?

Not hardly, some would like to believe that. Be careful they do not kill you in your efforts to "befriend" them though.

Can a  good Muslim be a good American?

This question was forwarded to a man
who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.

The following is
his reply:

Theologically - No. . . Because his allegiance
is to Allah, The moon God of Arabia .

Religiously - No. . . Because no other religion is accepted
by His Allah except Islam (Quran,  2:256)(Koran).

Scripturally - No. . . Because his allegiance
is to the five Pillars of Islam and the Quran.>

Geographically - No. . . Because his allegiance is to Mecca ,
to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially - No. . . Because his allegiance to Islam forbids
him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically - No. . . Because he must submit to the mullahs
(spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and
destruction of America, the great Satan.

Domestically - No. . . Because he is instructed to marry
four Women and beat and scourge his  wife when she
disobeys him (Quran 4:34)

Intellectually - No. . .  Because he cannot accept the
American Constitution since it is based on Biblical
principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically - No. . . Because Islam, Muhammad,
and the Quran does not allow freedom of religion and
expression.

Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim
government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually - No. . . Because when we declare 'one nation
under God,' the Christian's  God is loving and kind, while
Allah is NEVER referred to as Heavenly father, nor is he
ever called love in the Quran's 99 excellent names.

Therefore, after much study and deliberation.... Perhaps we
should be very suspicious of  ALL MUSLIMS in this country.

They obviously cannot be both good Muslims and good
Americans.

Call it what you wish it's still the truth. You had better believe
it. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our
country and our future.

Our Children

The key to our future is our children. They must be taught and instructed in the right way. Being a parent is not easy, there are no parental handbooks for every situation...if there is, it weighs 2000 pounds. Children learn what they live. That means whether you realize it or not, in every action your children are learning from you, especially if they are real young.. What you bring home from work, the football game, you name it. What ever affects you, effects them. It also means if the live with the TV set, they will learn from that as well. Tv is not a parental substitute, it offers one sided points of view.........inaccurate,immoral,....too much here to list. I would say that of the internet as well.

I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old (both girls), the apples of my eye. At this age they develop so much, it truly amazing how smart they are. Children need to be rewarded whan they do good, and also diciplined when they are bad (equally). It must be done with love or the fear of you factor will set in. They will develop at that point, a diiference between right and wrong. The willingness to share is also instructed, and it is hard, but when brought together with the appreciation and gratitude of things, it helps greatly.

I don't wan't to preach, but some of the hardships in our country are explained when parents are not parental in their chlidrens lives, every step of the way. Our job in life is not keep and shelter our children forever, but to prepare them for the day that they will leave us, for a life of their own. The education system in our country ( dont get me started ) maybe a future blog, leaves a lot to be desired, with almost a brainwashing of secularism, being taught at younger ages. To me that robs children of their innocence, one of the biggest crimes against our children in this day and age.

I came from a Christian upbringing, and went to a Christian School, though I have not lead my life in that fasion in later life(for that I can only ask for forgiveness and be correct and true) But I am thankful and give thanks to God for my Family values, education, and morals that were installed upon me in my early age.  It truly seems like I have had two lives what is now, and what was then. Remenber when you were young? The Vietnam war was going on, the peace demonstrations and the drug scene were going on, the TV was on, the bad language barrier was there.I guess the music, as with any era, was not the best quality. I have a respect for the talents of say Jimi Hendrix, and others, now that I am older, but I do believe for a moment what they stood for or believed in.

All of these adult themes were going on in my in my life, and my childhood was innocent, because these were NOT forced upon me, by reachers nor my parents or TV. I was told to go outside and play, read or do homework, and I did. I was a child, allowed to grow up on his own...responsibly. Wars and other things did not concern me, and I learned the difference of right and wrong, and later as I got older, and allowed to venture more on my own, not quite so sheltered, learned differences of good and evil..

I would ask of you...be a parent, give you kids a hug and kiss, and tell them you love them. We all do not do it enough is this "wave the magic wand" age of Reality TV,Virtual Reality games, hectic fast paced world. Somtimes......sometimes beyond our tunnel vision, reality fades like shadows in to the night. Correct parenting is Real, being a parent is Real. You don't have to be a Bible toting maniac, just know the difference between right and wrong. I find toting a Bible helps though....there are answers in that book that only it can answer in regard to evil, and levels of it, Physical acts, Mental thoughts,Sprirtitual power.

Children are held in special light with God, they are a gift from God.

When we were very young
about life we had no care

About world events and politics
and other things that are there

Life back then to me was only about fun and play
with butterflies and tonka trucks the things that made my day

It's hard to believe that 30 years have passed since I lived around this place
the only thing to make this complete is the glimpse of a familiar face

It seems as though I've lived two lives what is now and what was then
the house and trees have aged a bit since I played here last with my best freind

Life can be so innocent when our lives were just begun
we had no cares in that world when we were very young

Fellow Bloggers.......

Do not despair, or give up blogging,or quitting. The result of the election is not what we had hoped for. We will lick our wounds and fight another day.

In Obama's victory, here in Denver while a local TV station was interviewing Mark Udall, the Democratic Senate winner, at the DNC local chapter headquartes. While talking to him, in the background McCain (on a huge TV) was giving his consession speach in Arizona.
As we was speaking about reaching accross the isle, the Arizona crowd was starting to boo, which McCain immediately silenced. He started to speak of Sarah Palin, and the Denver crowd erupted and to a chorus of boos and hisses.

Even to the end, McCain's leadership prevailed. Even in a room of unsupervised 5th graders. The party of Gloom and Despair finally have somthing to cheer about, and suddenly we are the greatest nation on the planet. (we always were). The change has come. I am not a sore loser, as much as they are sore winners. I am not going to cry over spilled milk, this will all I will say negative about last night. Palin being booed in Denver will stick with me for a while. It will be my motivation.

So, do not be like they are. Do not scream about voter fraud, spew hate, move to another country, or be a sore loser. We live on the greatest country on the earth.....no matter when you believed that. He will be our next President, and he will have, like every other President before him, my respect. There is a lot of work to be done, and he will have a big challenge. Can the left -vs- right relationship be healed?

Where does the Republican Party go from here? Some say maybe move more to the center. Is that what traditional Conservatism has taught us to do? I would be VERY cautious about doing that. That would mean taking a step to the "left", to be in the center. We may never win another Government seat if we stick to our beliefs....it is a possibility....but so be it, I will never change. Secularism has won the battle today, but Conservatism is not dead, look at the total numbers. We need to sort things out and take a good look at where we are going. It is difficult to say what the numbers mean on the reasons for the people's voting pattern last night. Do not give up hope, the battle is never over.

If they try to install a fairness doctrine, or ban guns, or remove God from our currency,Pledge of Allegiance or our lives for that matter.
Whatever happens, we fight for what is right.....this should never change.

Quote Regan:
Freedom prospers when religion is vibrant and the rule of law under God is acknowledged.
Go ahead and try to remove God from these things, but you will NEVER remove him.
There is a reason and a purpose for  all things......BLOG ON BROTHERS!!!!!

Abraham Lincoln

A wise man...

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.
Abraham Lincoln

The wisdom and leadership of those before us, Washington,Lincoln,Truman, Reagan....the list could fill a few pages. Wisdom is needed in This age now, to stand up for what is correct.

Don't interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our liberties.
Abraham Lincoln

In great contests each party claims to act in accordance with the will of God. Both may be, and one must be wrong.
Abraham Lincoln
Our defense is in the preservation of the spirit which prizes liberty as a heritage of all men, in all lands, everywhere. Destroy this spirit and you have planted the seeds of despotism around your own doors.
Abraham Lincoln

We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.
Abraham Lincoln

Things do not change, we change.
They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.
Change your thoughts and you change your world.
Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.
Nothing endures but change.
Any transition serious enough to alter your definition of self will require not just small adjustments in your way of living and thinking but a full-on metamorphosis.

All but Death, can be Adjusted—
Dynasties repaired—
Systems—settled in their Sockets—
Citadels—dissolved—

Wastes of Lives—resown with Colors
By Succeeding Springs—
Death—unto itself—Exception—
Is exempt from Change—

How much of the above is true??
What kind of change are we talking about, when we want to change this country?
Time passes, this is true and people come and go. Change, I guess in ineviteable, but our values and morals must not.

In this "wave the magic wand" age, it seems the definition of what is acceptable Has Changed. To open our minds, think out of the box, not be offensive and give equal rights or values to where we perhaps had not before. A new wave, new age of thinking, on issues such as "ones right to life" or "right to die", same sex marriage,"todays terrorist is tomorrows friend",mentality that would open our doors to potential problems.Equal human rights to animals. To spread the wealth, and take money percentange from the "rich" and give it to those who are less fortunate, and may possibly pay no taxes at all. Nice thought, why does'nt the government pay it instead of me though? The fact that inequality is a greater issue than evil in this world is naive. The seperation of "church from society" or is it church from state? Keep Christ out of Christmas and call it a "Holiday Party". Law suits are the "justifiyable and needed to insure of equality" ETC.

I guess the "old way" of thinking is offensive, and old fashioned and would need to be......CHANGED. Our constitution, Bill of Rights, Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem and Currency, before it is over will be challenged Praying in school is already not allowed...is this not enough for you??. Why is our flag a symbol of oppression? Why is it offensive to call Evil...EVIL??
Secularism thinking, perhaps Western European type Socialism, "Big Government" let us take care of all your needs type of thinking. Are we changing our mindset,in the way we think, or physically changing what we do as a nation? Or both. All the while getting brainwashed by TV,newspapers. internet and radio and music. If you do not think that subliminal messages are used in TV, you are more brainwashed that you think.Google search it...make your own choice. A change for the "better" or a change for the worst, they wan't change, and what change? It matters not which is first.

Ronald Reagan Feb 6 1985

For an America of wisdom that honors the family, knowing that if (as) the family goes, so goes our civilization;

For an America of vision that sees tomorrow's dreams in the learning and hard work we do today;

For an America of courage whose service men and women, even as we meet, proudly stand watch on the frontiers of freedom;

For an America of compassion that opens its heart to those who cry out for help.

We have begun well. But it's only a beginning. We're not here to congratulate ourselves on what we have done but to challenge ourselves to finish what has not yet been done.
Proverbs tell us, without a vision the people perish. When asked what great principle holds our Union together, Abraham Lincoln said: "Something in (the) Declaration giving liberty, not alone to the people of this country, but hope to the world for all future time."
State of the Union Address Feb 6, 1985

Military Stats since 1980

Military Losses, 1980 thru 2007 *Whatever your politics, however you lean, and however you feel about the current administration, this report should open some eyes. Military losses, 1980 through 2007. *As tragic as the loss of any member of the **US** Armed Forces is, consider the following statistics: _
The annual fatalities of military members while actively serving in the armed forces from 1980 through 2007 - by any cause.

1980 ......... 2,392 ( Carter Year )
1981 .......... 2,380 (Reagan)
1982........... 2,319 (Reagan)
1983........... 2,465 (Reagan)

1984 .......... 1,999 (Reagan)
1985........... 2,252 (Reagan)
1986........... 1,984 (Reagan)
1987........... 1,983 (Reagan)

1988 .......... 1,819 (Reagan)
1989 ......... 1,636 (George H W Bush)

1990 .........1,508 (George H W Bush)

1991 ..........1,787 (George H W Bush)

1992 ......... 1,293 (George H W Bush)
1993 ..........1,213 (Clinton)

1994 ..........1,075 (Clinton)

1995 .......... 2,465 (Clinton)

1996 .......... 2,318 (Clinton)

1997 ..........    817 (Clinton)

1998 .......... 2,252 (Clinton)

1999 .......... 1,984 (Clinton)
2000 ...........1,983 (Clinton)
2001 .......... 890  (Bush)

2002 .......... 1,007 (Bush)
2003 .......... 1,410 (Bush)

2004 .......... 1,887 (Bush)
2005 ............. 919 (Bush)

2006.............. 920 (Bush)
2007.............. 899 (Bush)

*Bill Clinton years  (1993-2000): 14,107 deaths *George W. Bush years (2001-2007): 7,932 deaths If you are surprised when you look at these figures, so was I. These figures mean that the loss from the two latest conflicts in the Middle East are LESS than the loss of military personnel during Bill Clinton's presidency; when America wasn't even involved in a war...unless you include Bosnia or the disgrace of Mogadishu, Somalia when Clinton failed to respond to terrorists; Remember 'Blackhawk Down'? And, I was even more shocked when I read that in 1980, during the reign of President (Nobel Peace Prize winner) Jimmy Carter , there were 2,392 **US** military fatalities! From what? How? *I think that these figures indicate that many members of our Media and our politicians will pick and choose the information on which they report. Of course we all know that they present only those 'facts' which support their agenda-driven reporting. But why do so many of them march in lock-step to twist the truth? Where do so many of them get their agenda? Obviously there is one shared agenda. Could it be from the most powerful  Democratic family of the decade? Do you want further proof? Consider the latest census of Americans. It shows the following FACTS about the distribution of American citizens, by race: European descent .......................69.12%  Hispanic........................................12.5%  Black .........................................12.3%  Asian............................................3.7%  Native American............................1.0%
Other............................................2.6%
Many media lead us to feel the military death ratio is off balanced compared to the distribution by race in **America**  . Here are the fatalities by RACE over the past three years in Iraqi Freedom. Do the comparison yourself. European descent (white) .....74.31%
Hispanic....................................10.74% Black ..................................... 9.67% Asian......................................... 1.81%

Native American........................1.09% Other.......................................... 0.33%

I was surprised again. Our mainstream media continues to spin these figures (for political gain). Nothing more. It's all about politics.  I hope that during the time between now and November, intelligent Americans can decipher: the facts from the spin... the spinners from the leaders...those who seek even more power from those that seek justice, and the dividers from the uniters. Over the next months let's be good listeners and see and hear who tries to divide our nation; and who wants to unite our nation. Who wants to control how our money is spent and who wants our money spent the way we would spend it. Who seeks power and who seeks justice? Who spins the facts and who is genuine.

On Taxes

Part 1
Remember the election in 2006?

Thought you might like to read the following:

A little over one year ago:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.
Since voting in a
Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:
1) Consumer confidence plummet;
2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $4.10 a gallon;
3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);
4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;
6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.
7) Food prices skyrocketing over 30% in 1 year.

America voted for change in 2006, and we got it!

Remember
, it is Congress that makes the laws and spends our money -not the President . He has to work with what's handed to him.

Part 2:

Taxes...Whether Democrat or a Republican you20will find these statistics enlightening and amazing.

www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.HTML

Taxes under
CLINTON -1999 Taxes under BUSH -2008
Single earning: Single earning:
30K - taxed- $ 8,400 30K - taxed $ 4,500
50K - taxed $ 14,000 50K - taxed $ 12,500

125K - taxed $ 38,750 125K
- taxed $ 31,250

Barack Obama promises to return to the higher tax rates if elected. It is amazing how many people who fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever.

If elected, Barack Obama has already promised that he will repeal the Bush tax cuts, and amazingly, a good portion of the people who fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen.
