Discernment

The quality of being able to grasp and comprehend what is obscure.Showing insight and understanding. To recognize or identify as separate and distinct .To see or understand the difference.

Learn to Discern, this is lacking in the body of Christ today. I Thessalonians 5, is a good example of discernment.
Vs 19-22:
Stop stifling the spirit, do not put out the fire. (I Thessalonians 5:19-22), and stop questioning prophesies---listen to them. Sort good from evil- -and use the Bible as the discerning factor....search the word.

Psalms 119: Maginfiy the Divine Law and make it honorable. This is what God expects of us.

So, in order to sort out truth from those that call evil good, test their words, statements as follows:

1. Theological Test - Does it contradict the Gospel?
2. Emphasis Test - Does it exhalt Jesus?
3. Morality Test - Does it make a person in the likeness of Jesus or not?
4.Accuracy Test - Does it coincide with the Gospel...how is the timing as well?

I John 4:1-6, shows us exactly that.

Only by his Spirit, can we discern what is right or wrong.Ask the Lord for his Holy Spirit, he is your conscience. If there was no God, the very concept of Good and Evil would be just be an opinion, and the way our modern day world lives, why would anyone stand up for what is determined "Good"?

The World can not Discern Gods will or standards."...the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians2:13.

God sends us his Holy Spirit, for he is with us always....and he always has been. Thru good and bad, thick and thin. He sypathizes with us...he is a God of emotions. Do not chase him away.
God is the author of our lives, and is in the business of writing good stories. We co-author this life with him, and there may be a chapter or two that we are not proud of, but none the less.....part of this "book". He has a devine plan, and he uses people and experiences to accomplish this. What makes a great story is our expectiations/our dreams -vs- cruel reality.

God writes our story not just for our own benefit for us but, to also benefit others through our story because it emphasizes HIS story.
