The key to our future is our children. They must be taught and instructed in the right way. Being a parent is not easy, there are no parental handbooks for every situation...if there is, it weighs 2000 pounds. Children learn what they live. That means whether you realize it or not, in every action your children are learning from you, especially if they are real young.. What you bring home from work, the football game, you name it. What ever affects you, effects them. It also means if the live with the TV set, they will learn from that as well. Tv is not a parental substitute, it offers one sided points of view.........inaccurate,immoral,....too much here to list. I would say that of the internet as well.
I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old (both girls), the apples of my eye. At this age they develop so much, it truly amazing how smart they are. Children need to be rewarded whan they do good, and also diciplined when they are bad (equally). It must be done with love or the fear of you factor will set in. They will develop at that point, a diiference between right and wrong. The willingness to share is also instructed, and it is hard, but when brought together with the appreciation and gratitude of things, it helps greatly.
I don't wan't to preach, but some of the hardships in our country are explained when parents are not parental in their chlidrens lives, every step of the way. Our job in life is not keep and shelter our children forever, but to prepare them for the day that they will leave us, for a life of their own. The education system in our country ( dont get me started ) maybe a future blog, leaves a lot to be desired, with almost a brainwashing of secularism, being taught at younger ages. To me that robs children of their innocence, one of the biggest crimes against our children in this day and age.
I came from a Christian upbringing, and went to a Christian School, though I have not lead my life in that fasion in later life(for that I can only ask for forgiveness and be correct and true) But I am thankful and give thanks to God for my Family values, education, and morals that were installed upon me in my early age. It truly seems like I have had two lives what is now, and what was then. Remenber when you were young? The Vietnam war was going on, the peace demonstrations and the drug scene were going on, the TV was on, the bad language barrier was there.I guess the music, as with any era, was not the best quality. I have a respect for the talents of say Jimi Hendrix, and others, now that I am older, but I do believe for a moment what they stood for or believed in.
All of these adult themes were going on in my in my life, and my childhood was innocent, because these were NOT forced upon me, by reachers nor my parents or TV. I was told to go outside and play, read or do homework, and I did. I was a child, allowed to grow up on his own...responsibly. Wars and other things did not concern me, and I learned the difference of right and wrong, and later as I got older, and allowed to venture more on my own, not quite so sheltered, learned differences of good and evil..
I would ask of you...be a parent, give you kids a hug and kiss, and tell them you love them. We all do not do it enough is this "wave the magic wand" age of Reality TV,Virtual Reality games, hectic fast paced world. Somtimes......sometimes beyond our tunnel vision, reality fades like shadows in to the night. Correct parenting is Real, being a parent is Real. You don't have to be a Bible toting maniac, just know the difference between right and wrong. I find toting a Bible helps though....there are answers in that book that only it can answer in regard to evil, and levels of it, Physical acts, Mental thoughts,Sprirtitual power.
Children are held in special light with God, they are a gift from God.
Conservative values
When we were very young
about life we had no care
About world events and politics
and other things that are there
Life back then to me was only about fun and play
with butterflies and tonka trucks the things that made my day
It's hard to believe that 30 years have passed since I lived around this place
the only thing to make this complete is the glimpse of a familiar face
It seems as though I've lived two lives what is now and what was then
the house and trees have aged a bit since I played here last with my best freind
Life can be so innocent when our lives were just begun
we had no cares in that world when we were very young
